Why the name Deme Design?
The name Deme came after our founders Greek middle name, Demetrios. Our other co-founder doesn't have a middle name. Poor thing.
Where is Deme Design located?
In a galaxy far, far away... jkjk! Our studio is located the very beautiful and very cold city of Montréal, Québec in Canada.
Why was Deme Design created?
Deme Design began out of a desperate need for creativity during the pandemic...and the rest is history! We wanted to bring together our love for design and passion for sustainability to create something we could share with our people. Now we are inviting you to join us on this exciting journey as we reimagine the possibilities of home goods and embrace a brighter, greener future.
3D PRINTING & PRODUCTS.
How do you 3D print your products?
We use recycled plastic filament (a roll of material that looks like licorice laces) that is pushed through a hot nozzle like a glue gun. The printing happens by layering this material over and over again, bringing our 3D design to life.
What materials do you use?
We use recycled polylactic acid aka rPLA, a type of bio-plastic that is recycled from food packaging waste.
Can I place a custom product order?
While we may not be able to accommodate a single custom item, we would love to partner with you to create a custom design large orders or commercial projects! Lets discuss at hello@demedesign.com.
SHIPPING.
Where do you ship to?
Currently we ship to Canada and the United States. We hope to offer international shipping some day soon!
How long will it take to get my orders?
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, please allow for a processing lead time of 5-15 business days. This helps us reduce unnecessary waste and uphold our commitment to sustainable production. If you feel like your products are taking too long to ship out, reach out to us! We are always here to answer your questions.
Do you offer free shipping?
We know everyone loves free shipping. If your order is over $150, shipping is on us. Enjoy!
What happens if my order is delayed?
If delivery is delayed we will let you know as soon as possible and will advise you of a revised estimated date for delivery. If you feel like your products are taking too long to ship out, reach out to us! We are always here to answer your questions.
RETURNS.
How long do I have to return my item?
We offer a 14-day return policy to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item. Returns will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unaltered, unused, and in its original packaging. The cost of return shipping is your responsibility.
To request a return, contact us at hello@demedesign.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
What cannot be returned?
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as custom products (special orders or personalized items), and one-off items. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Returns will not be accepted on sale items or gift cards. Listed items that fall into this category will be tagged with final sale.
How do refunds work?
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping cost will not be refunded. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
